Ashley, a Santa Barbara native, has concentrated her practice on estate planning and administration for several years. Prior to starting her own trusts and estates firm, Ashley spent four years with Clark & DeHahn in Solvang. Prior to that, Ashley was associated with a boutique trusts and estates firm in Hawaii. Ashley holds a JD from Santa Clara University, where she was a member of the Arbitration Team and a volunteer with the Community Law Center. She holds a BA in Philosophy from UC Santa Cruz, where she was a member of the Sailing Club. Ashley is admitted to the California and Hawaii Bars.

Ashley’s practice encompasses many aspects of trusts and estates law: preparation of estate planning documents including revocable and irrevocable trusts (e.g. special needs trusts); handling of probates and trust administrations from start to finish including drafting of various petitions, fiduciary accountings and subtrust allocation; representation of probate and mental health conservators in obtaining conservatorships and fulfilling their duties; representation of fiduciaries and beneficiaries in estate and trust disputes; and strategizing with clients and their advisors to preserve assets and minimize estate, income and property taxes. Ashley is experienced in areas that often intersect with estate planning such as real estate and business entities, and she frequently negotiates contracts and advises on transactional matters.

Ashley takes great satisfaction in informing and empowering her clients, helping them to achieve their personal, family and/or charitable goals, and protecting and promoting their interests. Ashley has been certified as a legal specialist in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law by the California State Bar. She is a member of the Trusts and Estates Section of the California Lawyers Association and the Probate & Estate Planning Section of the Hawaii State Bar Association. Ashley serves on the Board of Trustees of The SYV Family School. She resides in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley with her wife (a nurse practitioner), two kids and Siberian cats.
